MASKS
It is the great new of the season. Two masks are added to the catalog of the collection to place the Agatha world at the center of the trend. An acetate model and a metal model that share the universe but each one drinks its own style and personality.
SHAPES
For this spring-summer 2020 collection, the glasses are expanded throughout. Both front and temples. We find oval shapes, very trending, some more square and cateyes that take another step in their evolution.
PRINTS
Agatha’s inputs continue to play a leading role in this 2020 collection. A leading role that revolves around the brand’s mythical icon: the heart. For this season, the prints do not cover large surfaces of the frame but accompany it with blocks on the front, with pieces on the temples or giving a burst of color to the terminals.
COLORS
The vivid and warm hue of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada always present in each season. Very bright tones such as red and pink to which yellow and lilac are added, two colors in trend and a must for the 2020 season.
The Official College of Optical Optometrists already warned weeks ago of the importance of cleaning the glasses to avoid the spread of the coronavirus since, as they explained, “they are a very important point of infection and contagion considering that virus can survive for hours” on its surface .
If you want to extend the lifetime of your glasses in the best conditions, in addition to not taking risks of contagion and taking extreme hygienic measures, we invite you to follow these instructions.
1.Before washing the glasses, properly sanitize your hands and then moisten the entire surface with warm water (hot water can damage the glass coating).
2. Hand soap is the least abrasive product with frame materials. we suggest to place a drop of neutral liquid soap on the fingers, lather both the frame and the lenses up both sides and leave to act for one minute.
3. Rinse abundantly with warm or cold water making sure that all the soap is removed. Pay special attention to rinsing in the pad area, lens contour and flexo area.
After rinsing, dry the frame and lenses with a microfiber cloth. Our recommendation is to use the one that comes with the glasses. These types of textiles do not leave lint and do not scratch the lens glass, making them ideal for this task.
REMEMBER:
It is recommended to carry out the disinfection process between 2 and 3 times a week.
Avoid the use of chemical and abrasive substances. The most advisable is soap and water.
Glasses should never be cleaned with the shirt, T-shirt, or any other garment you are wearing. It should be avoided that the possible bacteria existing in the clothes can become attached in this gesture.

After many years without looking his collections parade, Adolfo Domínguez has returned to the catwalks. They has done so using the new Optim frames collection as an accessory in many of the proposed outfits.
It was a very special parade and not only because of its return (without parading) after 8 years of absence, but because they chose 60 non-professional models of all ages and sizes for the occasion. People who volunteered to wear the autumn-winter 2019 collection, our sunglasses and who were chosen through an open audition on social networks. Adriana Domínguez, the CEO and daughter of the Galician designer, said that with this parade, a message about “real beauty and people with their imperfect beauty” was launched. Under the artistic direction of Tiziana Domínguez, the brand seeks to demarcate from all the imposed rules and make an inclusive, timeless bet that breaks with any aesthetic barrier.
This initiative involves a return to the origins for the brand and recover its “Galician essence”, as Adriana Domínguez commented. An essence that saw its first dyes in the ‘Galicia’ collection (spring-summer 2019) and that now affects the importance of the origins offering for this autumn-winter a timeless and quality proposal very faithful to the brand.

For her. Fronts are intensified with powerful angles and thicknesses that stand out over everything. Elegant modernity. Fine metals in rose gold are combined with specters of greyish bases. Rectilinear front tops combine with the Top Narrow concept and contrast with the inner sections that lighten its profile.

The 17 new models of Mr. Wonderful’s collection have been brought to life to make it easier and more fun to any of those whose eyes relentlessly search for their own happiness. This fall, the pieces proposed are in a widely varied chromatic palette, with intense, optimistic colours and soft shapes that flow beautifully to allow every moment to be lived intensely.

SHAPES
When it comes to Mr. Wonderful’s frames, comfort
and every-day use are above all else. For that reason, on a structural level, the
collection proposes rectangular and round shapes but always in their softest
forms. A touch of some more polygonal lines can be found in some pieces and
cat-eye shapes are the most daring of them all.
COLOURS
The pastel tones of Mr. Wonderful create a
visual cohesion all throughout the collection and are incorporated, this new
season, with a new intensity to them.
Pinks, blues and greens gain presence while
also incorporating trendier, less used tones like the very popular burgundy
shade.
THREE STYLES
WONDER
The branch that includes 9 models and targets
mass market, the majority of the public. Modern yet somewhat conventional shapes in
which the colour is the main attraction and the feature that fives each frame Mr.
Wonderful’s very own personality.
STREET
The current trend in its most Wonderful side. 6
models in which acetate and metal are (mostly) mixed to create a playful
combination of shapes and materials, following the brand’s style. In the Street
pieces, round frames are most usual, and some polygons make their appearance on
the top parts to break the monotony of a circular rim. Double bridges persist
and flat metal in two shades gives some models a tonal contrast which imitates
a lamination.
TRENDY
After three seasons, Mr. Wonderful counts with
some shapes and structures that define the brand’s image. These figures are all
defined in the Trendy collection. This is where the action happens. 3 models
make this category, one of which combines metal and acetate and two more that
are made entirely of metal. Two of these models have a cat-eye structure with a
lower bi-front that adds complexity to the rounder, simple look, while the
remaining one combines a top front with pointed angles and polygons, plus a
nylon rim which surrounds the lens on the bottom half.
For this season Agatha frames grow in size, its
height increases, and its sharp features at the front ends remain so as to give
a daring look to the gaze. Pear shapes prevail in metal models, but the edges
are accentuated to achieve a bolder look.
Volume combinations, laminations and complex structures are complemented by temple decorations, and prints. Every frame shines with its own light, aided by Agatha’s colourful universe.
COLOURS
Agatha’s colour palette remains as ever-lasting, although new additions have been added to this new season. Living Coral, 2019’s colour for Pantone, gains power in order to give to Agatha’s glasses a more vital vibe with golden hues that bring energy and dynamism to the pieces, always with a touch of softness. For this collection, pinks, lilacs and blues are crystallized, therefore creating interesting transparencies on acetate fronts.
PRINTS
Temples and interior part decorations create a unique universe in each frame. In the most classic shapes, Agatha’s own prints give a touch of charisma, life and joy to the glasses. Every single print is unique and exclusively designed by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
PETIT SIZE
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s shapes in reduced
version. A collection that is dedicated to those women with small, delicate
factions which require more measured calibres. A collection of 8 models which
is distinguished by its predominance of metal over acetate.
GLASS
A new incorporation to the catalogue: Petit
Size, an acetate model with a double-coloured pear shape. The front has a chromatic fade; on
the top par a solid Agatha colour shines with its own light and softly fades to
become a part of the leather on the bottom thanks to the transparency element
of the glass. A sensational composition for this season which is joined by a plain
temple that matches the front.
METAL
The stainless-steel
models of this collection play with the use of double bridges and combine
models with both round, conventional lines and more daring models that flirt
with some hexagonal, sharp, inventive lines.
INTRICATE FRONT, SIMPLE TEMPLE
A front that shines and a temple that
accompanies it. This is one of the Petit Size collection’s mottos. The temples
are lively yet sober and sometimes combine two colours, with the beloved usual
Agatha heart print. Their job is to add to the whole piece and make the front’s
structure stand out, enhancing the fun, happy look the front offers with its
laminations, sections and blocks.
There is no relief or
force more powerful than beginning to be what one is. The new Armand Basi
collection seeks the balance of forces between its Mediterranean soul and its
purely urban and industrial character to keep its own identity intact. Because
the importance of thinking and acting for ourselves is vital. Access modernity without trampling your own
authenticity.
For this season they propose 11
models, 6 of acetate, 4 of metal and a model that combines both materials. Square and
rectangular shapes predominate in the collection. We found geometric games
combined with rounded rims and some pear structures in the Current Vintage
subcollection. The metal plays with the volumes combining the flat steel with
the tubular one and, in acetate, it is committed to structures of little
thickness to give a lighter and lighter air.
ARCHITECTURE
They are the most trending frames in the collection. More current forms, in which metal predominates and in the changes on the volumes accompany a cutting-edge urban and Mediterranean structure.
VINTAGE
The classics always brought to our ‘now’ for the current audience. The shapes and structures of the 70 updated with lighter and stronger materials.
COMMERCIAL
The Armand Basi universe taken to the mass market so that anyone can find a Basi mount according to their needs and without giving up the rich architectural and mediterranean universe created by the brand.
Colours
The touches of colour contrast directly with the colours gray, silver and gun, a basic in the colour palette of Armand Basi. Metallic colours that evoke the industrial, urban and architectural essence of the brand and complement the tone of clear Mediterranean inspiration, the brand’s second base pillar. The greens, blues and some orange and magenta touch complete the rich colour palette of Armand Basi for this season.
The latest textile
collection by Guy Laroche is a tribute to the founder of the brand, who died 30
years ago. Richard René, creative director of the brand, resumed a unique print
inspired by the black marble that covers the sanctuary where the designer
rests.
Fine, fluid, simple
garments, designed for today’s girls, according to René’s own words that flow
between patterns with straight lines, light pleats in skirts and layers for the
night. All with dark and sober colors characteristic of the brand.
The ophthalmic
collection for the autumn-winter 2019 season follows the line marked by the
mother house and proposes 12 models for women and 10 for men in which the
continuity of the lines, contrast with an increase in the volume of the
structures.
FOR HER
For this autumn-winter season, the structures of the women’s line have been enriched. Sections are worked into the fronts to give the Laroche frame a much more fine, delicate and feminine look.
Some calibres are increased, and the figures
are much slenderer, incorporating more cat-eye shapes while also maintaining
the serene attitude of the brand.
On top of that, double structures enter the
metal models and, inevitably, the temples’ fabrik strasses decorations that
give them a shiny finish remain untouched.
FOR HIM
The timeless shapes that so characterize Guy
Laroche prevail in this new collection, but two new frames are proposed, with a
retro modern vibe to them which breaks the tendencies of the brand without
forgetting the essence of the French firm. The fronts are mostly based on the
simplicity of the square shapes with soft edges. A classic cut which combines
the quality of the materials, of the construction and the details on the
temples elevates the piece to the level required by Guy Laroche.
